I once took photographs of the pets at the Stanislaw County Humane Society near Modesto, California for the newspaper Modesto Bee's online pet adoption slideshows. The Humane Society reported that their adoption rates had gone up, which was a very good thing. It was heart-breaking to see so many wonderful pets locked up in cages and how loving they were when I brought them out to photograph them. But I think their faces say it all...

I love taking pictures of pets as well. I gave Sydney, my dog, his own gallery, but here are some photos of pets and other animals.
